The Casablanca Story: Finding Our Oasis on the River

Casablanca started with a simple wish: to bring the food and the warmth of tables around the Mediterranean and the Middle East to Osaka — and to set them somewhere you can actually sit back and breathe.

That place turned out to be a spot on the Dotonbori river, four minutes from Namba Station. The streets nearby are busy, but the riverbank opens up: wide sky, moving water, and the energy of Namba a short walk away.

We shaped the space around that view. Warm timber and linen inside, a quieter private corner at the back, and an open terrace over the river — dog-friendly, with a water bowl waiting. The same room changes with the light: specialty coffee and breakfast from 7AM, a long lunch, wine at sunset, and a Middle Eastern dinner until midnight.

The menu follows the same spirit — shakshuka, shawarma, falafel, mezze and kofta, cooked with olive oil, lemon, herbs and spice alongside seasonal Japanese produce, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan plates. Come for the coffee, stay for the sunset.
